  1. It's partly that, but it's also a function of the lineup being extremely top-heavy until very recently. For a while, it was three guys with .800-.900+ OPS, and then a bunch of dudes in the .400-.500s. Now it's getting spread out a little more. Overall, the Angels are now 7th in the AL in runs scored per game, and their team slash line (.239/.308/.379) is very close to the AL averages in all three categories (.234/.307/.377). It's the run prevention that has been more of an issue: they're still 13th in the AL in runs allowed per game.
  2. Sure, that's a possibility. My larger point was I'm fine with him being exposed to waivers, regardless of the outcome. He shouldn't be on the major league roster right now.
  3. He went from CF to 1B, and then back, which is different from a natural 1B going to CF.
  4. Let's move Rengifo to catcher and O'Hoppe to right field, so he can take Adell's place when Adell moves to first. And once Sano is back from his injury, he should take Jose Suarez's spot in the bullpen.
  5. I haven't read through this whole thread, but why are we all the sudden trying to move Adell to 1B, a position at which the Angels already have a young player they're trying to develop? Seems more like creating new problems than solving any existing ones.
  6. I'm not even talking about in the Ryan and Seaver era. Having more than 11 pitchers on a roster seems like something that has maybe only been around for a decade or so, if that? I'm too lazy to go do the research.
  7. He was in the majors long enough this season to hit 5 years of service time. He can reject the assignment, become a free agent, and the Braves would still owe him the remainder of his contract.
  8. Or, looked at another way, since their sweep of the Marlins, they're 6-13 with a run differential of -16.
  9. Suarez can't be sent down unless he clears waivers. He's out of options. I'm 100% fine with him leaving the organization at this point.
  10. I get daily texts from my brother about the Braves, so I live vicariously through him.
  11. I refuse to believe that wasn't at least a decade ago.
  12. This is from Fletcher's update on Monday: "Right-hander Chase Silseth (elbow inflammation) is still not cleared to throw."
  13. He's at it again. 7 IP tonight, 1 ER, 3 H, 2 BB, 6K. Now has a 0.92 WHIP and a 0.72 ERA in 25 IP.
  14. It was 2-0 when Suarez came in. He gave up 4 runs. Either Washington misspoke or he was just confused.
  15. You seem to be under the impression that Rendon is going to be available.
  16. Not that it really matters, but I don't understand the thought process behind pinch hitting for Moniak. Yeah, he's slumping, but if you don't even think he can hit righties in pressure situations, then you're essentially admitting you have zero confidence in him.
