Getting close to betting the first person to take me up on it, an EIGHTH straight losing season.
Prediction the next games:  2-6, making them 58-64 and 2-13 in past 15 games.
Might as well be 2022 again.
And 2019 too, same exact 54-49 record and then TOTALLY folding like a house of cards.
 

7 straight losses with like 50 games left will do that.
IIRC this is the second really bad loss streak of this season without equal winning streaks to match.

i thought he would be the comeback player of the year. i said it somewhere here in the offseason, but i think i didn't know what he was really about. he's always said that he doesn't really like baseball, and i guess i wasn't listening. i think he's quit on the team. i think he's acting like a diva with his attitude, and i have no respect for that.

Then he should take those philosophies and apply them here. Because what he has tried to do is keep this trend running. He hasn’t made decisions with the goal of improving the club long term. He looks at it year to year versus a long term sustainable system that develops redundancy. He spends on free agency, but not the actual foundation of player development. Oh and if he does then he has entrusted the wrong people to do it, which again is an ownership issue. 

So you ask us to tell you why he’s a bad owner without resorting to rumors or speculation. Your defense to being told he’s bad is to tell us he’s not bad because you and your “good business instincts” say so?  Please forgive us if we don’t automatically assume you are right.

i'm going to let the groupthink thing slide because i don't even know who you are. if you want to ask me my opinion about something, don't start it off by discounting my opinion as not my own.
arte spends money on the major league roster. that's a general fact, but he'll spend it all on one shiny object and then refuse to spend the necessary total for the rest of the roster. he's both a big spender and a cheap skate on the mlb roster. also, while he invests in the major league roster the angels have operated at a deficit at every other level of scouting, analytics, etc. etc.
he and carpino don't know how to run an organization of this size in sport. i believe i remember that all of the angels top brass have no history in baseball. it just goes on and on, and at some point the proof is in the pudding. it's just one error compounding on another on and on. he sucks.

i can't see any way houston or atlanta would pay for ohtani. the dodgers obviously are easy.

This is a pretty rough day to be an Angels fan. It’s way up there with the heartbreaks of the past

Let's have a little perspective here. We're not the A's, or the Royals, or the Rockies, or the Nats, or the Pirates, or a few other teams. We are one game under .500. Forget the playoffs and just play better baseball. Get our players back healthy and go from there.
Then after the season, fire the manager and the coaches and start to rebuild. And Arte, PLEASE sell the team and get the hell outta here!!
