  1. i love the angels can fix this easily, first just sign ohtani. simple. easy peasy. i'll just ignore the facts that firstly, not really that simple. and secondly, he's already been on the team for the last six years and they sucked nazi balls for each of those seasons.
  2. arte's "unfinished business" was completely blowing the ohtani opportunity and fucking this team in the ass.
  3. we already knew this, but you may as well throw in rookie of the year too since you brought it up.
  4. i's really love to be in ameeting room with perry and his FO staff having an unfiltered conversation amongst themselves.
  5. this post is brought to you by nick miller. ohtani against mlb... angels players when a challenge is placed before them...
  6. that's awesome man. post the ticket with angelswin written on it or on a sticky note. i want to see it.
  7. only as an angel. i know it sounds like pessimism, but i friggin guarantee he'd go back to all star form with the dodgers, rays, braves and maybe some others.
  8. to be fair. the three names you mentioned have been carrying the angels water. i don't think anybody has a gripe with those three names.
  9. this team does not take care of business. if they put the players and coaches in charge of turf maintenance they'd be playing on a motocross track.
  10. maybe some day, but right now he's pretty fucking far from a #3. this season's performance doesn't even deserve a spot in a good team's rotation.
  11. what's funny is they would have great success on getting outs if they did because the hitter thinks a pitch in the zone is coming.
  12. man, detmers has been a hot piece of dog shit this season. the angels just continue to be exactly the same. totally overmatched by good teams and never able to answer the challenge.
  13. i don't want to speak ill of the deceased, but clearly crunchy is the best. i like to think that lou knew that somewhere deep down.
  14. this dude speaks like every career politician. they all overinflate their accomplishments, while deflating the accomplishments of everybody else. most of their claims can never be backed up. it's just inflating a pretend balloon man with hot air.
  15. i mean kinda. i don't think anybody likes laziness or entitlement, and the appearance of those are going to garner ill will. you've read from me before, i think it's stupid to call a player a pussy, because obviously they are not. but i think a player can be unmotivated and disinterested, and i think i see a lot of that in tony two games. also, on a personal level, i just have zero respect for a person that can't even take five minutes to talk to the orange county softball media who are just trying to do their jobs. i think everyone can agree this ain't exactly the pressure of the big city media.
  16. do me a favor, don't agree with me. it makes me feel badly about my position on topics. i doubt we would agree on unions at all. can unions be out of balance? yes, as is true with all things. but i am decidedly pro-union as a general position. the workforce needs an organized party as representation for them to ownership. i think we see in america what a work force of the general populace gets without a voice. they get long hours, less pay, and shit canned as soon as seniority and work experience cost more than two entry level employees.
  17. kind of. if he's not hurt. if his stuff is there, then you really only hurt the ballclub longterm by demoting him after two blown saves when he had just converted all 26 opportunities prior to that, and an all star appearance for you. you'll lose a lot of the players. if they were in contention that would be different, then you could give him the old opportunity to rest and reset speach.
  18. once the angels are out of the postseason i actually prefer the pain. i think it's more entertaining to see their limitless bottom.
  19. this is the sole reason why although i side with the players on their contracts and ability to get paid earlier in their careers, that i never agreed with longterm guaranteed contracts. nobody should have that kind of security. it lays the groundwork for the worst in us.
  20. i've come around to this guy. i love him now. he's an outside the box thinker; he does things others can't.
  21. this is idiotic, but you have good business instincts so i'm going to just agree with you since you're the only one that has his own original thoughts and we're just a bunch of parrots.
