  1. Can’t blame Escobar there. The base coach for some dumb reason didn’t wave him home until he was basically at the bag, and his motion actually looked like a stop sign that changed into a wave home half way through.
  2. No thanks to the Angel “fan” who tried to take the ball away from Ward.
  3. Is there a reason Velasquez didn’t just take the routine double play? Brain dead everywhere.
  4. Yeah I’m pretty sure it was Gosselin who interfered because he was like 3 feet inside the line. I meant that I had no idea what the rule is as far as placing runners, or calling an out, etc. because I don’t know that I’ve ever seen interference called on a runner on a pickoff throw before.
  5. I think the commentators are confused. I’m guessing they’re saying Gosselin interfered not Stefanic. I have no clue what the rule is though on that when it’s a base runner.
  6. Are the replay guys sitting in a dark room with no sound? All you have to do is play that at full speed with audio and you can clearly hear it hitting something before the catcher’s glove.
  7. Can’t blame Stassi. He doesn’t know the guy tagged first base. For all he knows it’s a force. Duffy is a dumbass. He even looked back at second to see the play and still just coasted the last 20 feet.
  8. Surprised they didn’t put Stassi at first, because he definitely has played there at least in spring training.
  9. Technically Walsh has never played LF, but he did play there in the ASG last year for a few innings.
  10. And also got all butthurt when Ward tried to bunt for a hit when the Dogs were way up in a game (that the Angels almost came back and won.)
  11. Ray also got an opt out. And as far as we know, Arte doesn’t believe in giving opt outs.
  12. I saw the thread title and thought Kurt Suzuki signed somewhere else.
  13. Most of his errors came early in the season when the team wasn’t anywhere close to out of it. What a stupid thing to say.
  14. The ball was hit exactly where the 3B would be in an exaggerated pull shift. If you're going to play the 3B at the bag because of the runner, which obviously you have to do, you can't simply leave the other 3 fielders in the same place. You have to move them to give yourself more coverage.
  15. They did send cash to the Yankees. Think that had to be required since they were trying to stay under the CBT upper limit.
  16. I was listening to the game on the way somewhere the other day, and during an Ohtani AB (!!!) he called the first pitch a little outside (which means it was really down and in), and then proceeded to talk about something else that should have taken 5 seconds but took Terry 2 minutes, and the next thing he called about the game was the 3-2 pitch to Ohtani. And you're completely right about the trajectory thing. According to Terry, every single base hit to the outfield "drops in there" whether it's a blooper or a 110 mph rope into the gap.
  17. I saw him screaming as he was running down the line. I don’t know if it was directed towards Ohtani or the crowd, but that’s sure what it looks like he said.
  18. Class reaction by Ottavino. ”Bye bye, f***ing happy birthday bitch.” Gave up a run, had 2 runners on base when a a rocket was hit into the shift. Yep, you really shut it down!
  19. Even if Upton is ready tomorrow, they still designated Schebler. So are they playing a man short tonight?
  20. Should the Angels countersue the family, since out of anyone, the wife surely “should have known” that her husband was a drug addict?
  21. Maybe Bundy should consider not using his crappy fastball 5 or 6 times in a row. Wasn’t he successful last year because he was using his FB way less than in previous seasons?
