  1. Game 1 - likely this kind of loss will happen to many other CHC opponents this year. With Cubs being the favorites as 2016 WS Champs - and with so many dynamic players - I've decided to score them this year. Should be very interesting. Last night's game: https://www.4basescore.com/?page_id=5640 As always ... if anyone sees any scoring mistakes please let me know.
  2. Actually I do incorporate baserunning but I wasn't comparing WAR to what I do ... my stuff is still raw because I'm doing it entirely by myself - would really like some help but I digress. My question was how he could show up 4th after those 3 superstars and Mark68 is corrrect. The specific playing age year they chose was the key. There are other much better players but they entered the league older AND the specific Age 25 choice eliminates Bryce Harper - only 23. Kind of a cherry-picked set of criteria but whatever ... a player gets the contract he deserves so good for him.
  3. I gotta be honest, I never got the sense last year that I was watching the 2nd coming of 25 year old Albert Pujols/ARod ... certainly not Mike Trout. How exactly is the WAR below calculated? It kind of looks like heavy-handed Cubs publicity or Page 1 of Jason Heyward's Agent Negotiation Binder. My numbers showed he was a good ballplayer this year ... certainly not as good as the company above. 4. Jason Heyward 2015 Play Distribution below. It'll be interesting to see if he'll be the team leader in combined Force Outs of Lead Runners/GiDP as a Cubbie.
  5. Just posted this in my Scorecards & Summaries thread but thought I'd put it here too. Jason Heyward is a very good ball player .... he also hit into more outs that took out lead runners than any other 2015 Cardinal. Force out of lead runner(s): 30 occurences (if he loses a step many of those are DPs) GiDP - 13 STL-main-page 4BaseScore-metrics-page Or - go to my Tableau profile page Pic below of Jason Heyward 2015 Play Distributiion
  6. Jason Heyward hit more total predator outs than any other 2015 Cardinal. Forced out lead runner(s): 30 occurences (if he loses a step many of those are DPs) GiDP - 13 STL-main-page 4BaseScore-metrics-page Or - go to my Tableau profile page Pic below of Jason Heyward 2015 Play Distributiion
  7. For anyone interested, data cleanup is finished on both prototype teams (STL & LAA) and I've added a drill through from the main chart to a detail page providing breakdown of selected Play - by Player. STL-main-page LAA-main-page 4BaseScore-metrics-page Or - go to my Tableau profile page STL chart pic: FO-Lead-Runner is always interesting ... in the case of STL it shows a player who would've hit into a whole lot of GiDPs were it not for his speed.
  8. Interesting trade. Best of luck to Aybar ... his 2015 scorecard play distribution chart below.
  9. Data cleansing work complete on LAA 2015 and have produced 2 versions of Play Distribution bar chart - one version of the interactive view allows for filtering on multiple players/games, the other view is for single selection of Player/Game. They each have their pros and cons ... I'm learning Tableau on my own and on the fly so still not as skilled as I'd like to be ... but the charts are fun. You can launch interactive views from any of these: LAA-main-page 4BaseScore-metrics-page Or - go to my Tableau profile page chart pics: If you see any errors please let me know. Regards, Cycled
  10. First a wrap on the WS (then some LAA 2015 stuff). Game 5 scorecard, a couple Hosmer and/or Cain should have been WS MVP pics, and final WS Play Distribution can all be found using WS Page link below. Link to 4BaseScore.com World Series Page pics
  11. Game 4 scorecard and Play Distribution chart post-game-4: Link to 4BaseScore.com World Series Page Royals Play Distribution chart - going into Game 5 Gordon is Top Contributor but note 3 teammates right on his heels - Escobar, Hosmer, and Zobrist. Mets Play Distribution chart - Granderson is Top Contributor
  12. Have been keeping up with World Series scorecard work and views available: Link to 4BaseScore.com World Series Page misc pics below Play Distribution Bar Chart - interactive on Team/Player(s)/Games (I'll produce this for 2015 LAA during offseason): Game 3 pic - Granderson is Top Contributor in Mets 9-3 Win (scorecard views on the site are always interactive): Game 2 pic - Escobar is Top Contributor in KC 7-1 Win (scorecard views on the site are always interactive): Game 1 pic - Escobar/Zobrist are Top Contributors in KC 5-4 Win (scorecard views on the site are always interactive): @CMCycled on Twitter
  13. Just finished this for Cardinals regular season - it's a distribution of 4Base-Scorecard data by Play. There's a bit of a data cleansing effort to produce it but if I get positive responses - via PM or in this thread - that Angels fans want a LAA view I'll do it for sure. Please take a look at the interactive view and let me know your thoughts - personally I was stunned to see the graphical view of sooo many Strikeouts.
  14. Everything updated on the site for final numbers on both LC series. According to my data Zobrist was clear ALCS MVP - not to disrespect Escobar who had a great series (came in 2nd in my scoring). Interactive views of all the pics below are on the site or on Tableau Public: Link-to-ALCS-Page Link-to-NLCS-Page
  15. Hey all - 3200 views and so few AW folks visit my site! What's that all about? Oh well, no worries - glad you visit this thread. ALCS Game 5 is posted I have a couple interactive views of both LC series so what the heck you might as well take a look at them, right? If you don't want to visit my site you can straight to my profile on Tableau When the postseason is over I'm going to do some similar views for the Angels. Here's a pic
