  1. I have not had much time to post recently, nor have I followed the Angels as closely as I usually do. Perhaps its the state of the world these days, but man do they suck. It’s the same shit year after year. Major holes that never get fixed....smh! I remember when every game used to get me excited. Now, just checking the box score and seeing the highlights is more than enough. I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t see this thing turning around
  2. I remember my father waking me up to see Nixon resign on TV.
  3. https://nj1015.com/new-jersey-brewery-mocks-astros-cheating-scandal/ Lol
  4. Stanton: No, he will end up being remembered as the injured guy with the huge contract that Jeter dumped on the Yankees. Craig Kimbrel should make it
  5. Oh sure, I definitely caught it at work. Half of our pharmacy staff went down with multiple symptoms and tested positive. The two other people on my three person team were the first two to get it. I was just waiting for my turn. No one had it bad enough to go to the hospital, thank god. We had the place professionally sterilized two times, but the cases kept popping up. One woman in the billing department caught it, brought it home, and it ended up killing her husband. Definitely has been the most stressful period of my life.
  6. Hey! Thanks your concern. Has not been a good past 6 months, but I’m OK Working in healthcare, we have been taking a beating around here lately. Tested positive for Corona antibodies, so that’s good, as I never got symptoms other than being tired. I hope all is well with you and the rest of the crew. I’ll be on here more often now.
  7. Matt Harvey was a beast before his TJ surgery, and collection of other complications afterwards
  8. Bingo! Hubs: If you want authentic old school Italian, this is the place.
  9. For NYC; TAO is the spot. Make reservations. If you want great Italian food the day of the game, go to Arthur Ave in the Bronx since you are right nearby. Much more authentic and less touristy than Little Italy. Picture the movie: A Bronx Tale
  10. https://nicoboston.com Nico in the North End is the best Italian food in all of Boston. Highly recommend. Try to get to Harpoon brewery for tours, unlimited tastings, and great flavored soft pretzels. As others have said, do not drive! The worst city in the USA to drive in. If you can, try to stay at a hotel by the Prudential Center. It is connected to other hotels and restaurants by a mall that also has a subway station. It is a great option when the weather is cold and wet.
  11. Could have punished the teams by allowing any player on the Astros or Red Sox to void their contract, and become free agents.
  12. Here is a shot of Happ "welcoming" Cole to the NY Yankees clubhouse
  13. A coworker told me today that he is friends with Rick Porcello's brother, and that he received offers from both LA teams. They were low-ball 1+1 deals, so he decided to stay close to home on a one year deal with the Mets, and hopes to build up his value and go FA next year.
  14. While it didn’t work out for him on the field here, Zack Cozart was a local legend in Cincinnati for all he did off the field, and in the clubhouse. A real good guy.
  15. Had to read thru this Moose thread to make sure it wasn't the one from last year....or the year before.
  16. Some great suggestions on here. I have two daughters who are real girly girls, so as they grow older, it becomes more difficult to find common interests with them. We always make it a point to have our special one-on-one time as Tank suggested. We have found travel to be a great common interest. We all love planning our trips as much as actually taking the trip. It gives us time together working towards a common goal that we benefit from. They also try to share my love of sports and root for the Angels, NY Rangers, and NJ Giants. They know I am outnumbered 4-1 in my house, including the dog, so they put the effort in on their end as well to keep the relationship healthy. As they are growing older, I realize the clock is ticking on how much time I’ll have them around the house, so I try to appreciate the little things we do that much more. It is scary when you finally realize you don’t have all the time in the world, and they are growing up exponentially faster every year, so appreciate the time you do have because before you know it, you’ll be that person telling the younger ones how quickly time flies by.
  17. So looking forward to this. SopranosCon.com
  18. I remember this line from the finale of The Office. I keep this picture hanging over my desk to remind me every day.
