So then what was with all those BS trades at the end of the season? Who were they trying to impress?

That's where the Bears played, the Denver Bears that is. I saw a Broncos game there in 1975, but by that time they had changed the name to Mile High Stadium and added thousands of seats.
Correct!!

So far no right guesses.
Hint: It was more well known for the football team that played there. No longer standing, and the Football team and baseball team now have their own stadiums

Another oldie. What stadium did this evolve into?

The guy on the left looks like he could pass for Tim Salmon's dad.

As a NY Giants fan, I echo Jason's feelings. Despite winning Super Bowls in 2008 and 2011, the Giants fell off a cliff right after, and have not been relevant since. This timeline of irrelevancy has matched up with the Angels, leaving me with nothing to root for other than the Rangers in hockey.
Thank god the NHL season is long

Watch Rendon successfully sue the Angels for another $100 million for ruining his career

I hope that this past week will serve as our Waterloo moment. It certainly seems to be the sentiment.

I just don't like the lynch mob like mentality among some fans and your statement adds fuel to that fire.
I also don't know if your contact was simply expressing his opinion and you took it as fact and ran with it. There's a difference. Again, I don't know.
I am not trying to organize a lynch mob, but rather add some substance and insider information that I hope gives another layer of clarity to a hot topic here that continues to linger with no end in sight. I asked a question, and he expanded on it. This wasn’t speculation, it was his knowledge and experience, and he has dealt with Rendon. It was nothing new that hadn’t already been discussed here. I will be meeting with him again in the next few weeks, and now that he knows l am an Angels fan, l am sure he will give me a few more stories.

Regardless, did share this information in confidence?
What gives? Why the constant second guessing? Chuck knows who it is, and knows that he is a credible source. This my second time meeting with him, and after dinner and drinks, we were just talking about baseball. His comments about Rendon and Arte were spoken in conversation, and not as a “l have a secret, but promise you won’t tell anyone “ . I am not dropping his name, so l don’t see the issue with sharing some Angels info with a group that would be interested. He had plenty else to say about MLB that l won’t bother to add.

Still not enough for me. Some media people have agendas.
And what kind of a "baseball media celeb" spouts gossip like that with a bunch of people I assume he doesn't know very well or only knows casually?
It was a one on one conversation.
