Returning Rangers fan here. Hamilton hit the greatest homer in Rangers history to give Texas the lead in game six at St Louis; it would be remembered much more clearly by everyone (including Rangers fans) if Texas had actually won the damn thing. Just like last year, the focus on the Angel’s early season struggles is partly due to media hype about how great the team is supposed to be – especially after adding Josh to the lineup. Couple the team’s record with Josh’s struggles at the plate and you have the world’s largest lightning rod for national baseball news. As much as I enjoy checking the box scores and seeing the Angels keep falling farther down the hole – the AL West is at its best when LAA is good. I’m still expecting the Angels to get it together and make a few runs to close some ground with Oakland and Texas.
