Especially with his velocity down. The rotation was always the biggest question mark for this team and it continues to be such, even with half the offense struggling.
Meanwhile Anderson looks great with his velocity. Then you have Canning who actually showed some promise last year taking a big step back.

Lol Detmers and Anderson have been amazing and everyone else has been disastrously bad

This story gets more bizarro world every day. There cannot be a three year period where Ohtani did not have a conversation with his tax accountant about where his money was going. Just too much bullshit in these stories.
I'm sticking to the theory that Ohtani has been paying off Ippei's debts, didn't know it was a big deal, and that they mutually decided that Ippei would be the fall guy (in exchange for a large reward).
-
I bet a big chunk of Ohtani's deferred money is going straight to Ippei when he gets out of prison.
-
The launch angle and EV were known issues when he was drafted. The real question is whether this org can get him to make a successful swing change, or if they even care to try at all.
-
Adell has proven repeatedly that he doesn't deserve meaningful playing time. Rengifo should definitely be playing every day though

I think Nevin showed pretty well actually. The problem wasn’t Nevin, it was the org - and that’s not a secret. It’s just the mainstream consensus that the deal with the Angels is that it’s a retard organization.
I follow a pretty good dynasty baseball resource and while he's pretty org-agnostic 98% of the time, the one org he specifically trashes for their player development is the Angels.

He plays like he's got the yips. Maybe Wash can work some of his Rendon magic with him.
-
I kinda like Suarez as a pure mop up man. The team will have a fair share of games where he's needed to eat meaningless innings.

What’s the cause of the delay?
45 minute standing ovation for Rendon

I think we can stop batting him leadoff.
At this rate he'll probably just get injured before he finally gets a hit

Adell and Rengifo each have a grand total of one start in 5 games. That is absurd.
The one upside is that both will be getting regular starts by May when half the current starters are injured

He's due
Wow, when is he due? Congrats! Him being pregnant does at least explain his hitting troubles and general crankiness

But guise he stuck out the side. He's such a good pitcher

They got annihilated by the Marlins last year and will get the same treatment this year

what the hell was that shit
routine ground ball to the infielder and we don't get an out?
Neto too slow and Drury taking a nap and not covering the base

Adell: 1 start in 4 games
Moniak: 1 start in 4 games
Rengifo: 1 start in 4 gamesDo not approve of this strategy at all when we are replacing these guys with the likes of Rendon, Hicks, and Sano. If this is the strategy, I wish we would have just signed JD Martinez to DH.
They do this every year too. Rengifo could hit 30 HR's in the second half and he'd still lose meaningful playing time to someone like Paul DeJong next year

I would be happy with 30-35 doubles, 10-15 HRs, and a .350 OBP.
I would be happy with 30-35 walks, 10-15 doubles and a .350 SLG at this point

Can't wait to get a top 3 pick and use it on a high-floor/low-ceiling college hitter that'll get promoted to the majors in two months to drum up fake enthusiasm to to distract the casual fans from another losing season.

This organization has literally zero idea how to scout relief pitching.

Pinch hitting Moniak there was a Nevin-esque move, regardless of splits.
