Not sure if I am misunderstanding you here, but the republicans absolutely do want Trump. They wanted him in 2016, in 2020, and now again in 2024. If they didn’t want him, they wouldn’t be on the verge of making him their nominee. 
Perhaps what you mean is that deep down, establishment republicans don’t want him. Guys like McConnell. You might be right, but almost all of those people are too chicken shit to do anything about it. And the ones who aren’t chicken shit - Cheney, Romney, Kinzinger - have been driven out of the party (because the party, on the whole, worships Trump). 
The sad truth is that today’s Republican Party is comprised largely of ultra conservative religious folks and dim-witted morons. These people are blinded by their love of “God,” their hatred of anyone in the middle/left, and their low IQs. This makes them especially susceptible to being fooled by Trump.

Blarg: first, I am not a democrat. Never have been and never will be. Second, I don’t want Joe Biden to be president the next four years. He isn’t mentally fit now - I can’t imagine how bad it will be in four years. Third, there are two candidates and only two candidates, so it isn’t like any Biden “supporters” have a menu of options to choose from. And fourth, both of our options are senile, demented, and unfit for office. But Biden, at least, is not as dishonest, narcissistic, and ill-intentioned as Trump.
Do you really not see this? Do you actually think Trump is a better option than Biden? On what do you base that opinion? You seem like a smart enough guy to me that you should not be fooled by Trump.

There is a lot of free agent talent out there still. If the team were willing to spend, they could absolutely still grab a few guys and have a good team (at least on paper). Think about how much better this team would look if it added Snell, JD Martinez, and Lorenzen. 

Imagine how you guys are going to like him when he is still president four years from now. If you think his brain is soft now, imagine him at 85. And yet your dumb ass party is doing everything in their power to make that happen by putting up Trump again.
