Not that anyone cares, (or that it matters) but over at r/baseball on reddit they're going full in on the idea it was 100% Ippei who did it. I know they're mostly doyer fan boys, but hilarious nonetheless. Critical thinking isn't their strongsuit. 

I blame the Angels... the Angel games were so boring last year, Ippei had to find an outlet.

Yeah, that and the fact that this all happened while he was on the Angels. That’s not really the org’s fault, but of course this happened then.

I mean, maybe not Arte, but with the Angels’ luck wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if as more emerges the Angels somehow still wind up looking bad.

Spring Training is here and baseball is back. To get in the mood the past few days Ive been watching old Angels clips on youtube. 
obviously the World Series clips, but randomly sewrching old players to remember the good times.
I looked up Orlando Cabrera stealimg home. I was at that game, sitting on the 3rd base line so saw it up close. So i started watching some Cabrerra clips... and remembering how good he was.
and he was replaced by Aybar... another guy who caught a lot of shit on here, but was such a cool guy to watch at SS. 
(Note for the old timers on here. In October of 2011, like 3 days after the season ended, I posted on here that a player told me we were getting Pujols. I never mentioned who, but it was him).
Aybar gets replaced by Simmons. Who was by far the best of all 3. (Simmons highlight videos never get old).
Point being. Holy shit were we spoiled for years at SS.
And adding Howie in here, that middle infield duo of Howie and Aybar was so, so damn solid for almost a decade....

In UTHs thread I mentioned the merry go round on the roster the past decade... (seriously, trout-pujols-simmons-ohtani are like the only guys who have played 3 years or more since like 2013).
For a good example on this... watch the simmons highlights on YouTube, where he turns double plays... and take a shot for every 2B he flips the ball to that you either totally forgot about, or have no idea who he is.
