  1. I was just happy to see somebody on this team show some type of emotion.
  2. That's what this sounded like. I was just wondering if anybody had heard the same thing. I actually played it back because it was such an odd statement.
  3. Anybody else hear this on the Angel Talk on KLAA. Who is Jason Brennan? He was talking about how the Angels don't win games that they do not score first in. Then he said he does not think the Angels have won a game this year that they were shut out in, but can't be 100%.
  4. I am not pissed at management, except that they have not fired the entire coaching staff yet. This team plays with a lack of emotion, no sense of urgency. They make more base running mistakes than a high school team. These are all things I blame the coaching staff for. In the 60's and 70's the teams were not very good but they played hard, I don't see that with this group of players. After being an Angel fan for almost 50 years I'm not changing teams but I am embarrassed, as the player should be.
  5. I have already put the bag on my head. I have been a fan since 1965 and I have never felt this way about the Angels. I pay for the MLB package so I can watch the Angel play, and I can't bring myself to turn the games on. The Angels teams of the 60's and 70's were bad teams but they showed effort, they looked like they cared.
  6. I expect to see Cy Santana tonight. Ex-Angel player tend to become superstars when they face the Angels.
  7. I think Scioscia is an excellent manager and that he should be fired. This happens to a lot great coaches, sometimes you just need to bring in fresh blood. Somebody that will deliver a new message. The number of mental errors being made by this team bother me the most.
  8. The guy has played some awesome defense, to bad his bat has disappeared.
  9. 1965. My first year in Little League and our coach took the team to the game. Saw player like Jim Fregosi, Bobby Knoop, Rudy May, and Buck Rodgers. I got to work at the stadium in 75-76 running up and down the isles selling Peanuts and cokes, and then in the Stadium Club in 77-78 as a bus boy. I got to meet all the players that played for the Angels during that time period along with Gene Autry and several celebrities that came to games as guest of his.
