I think managers are overrated by fans in this era. Everything is statistically driven now, with predetermined moves and countermoves. So in-game, he offers to discernible advantage over any other manager. 
The biggest impact any manager can make is in the clubhouse and handling players at an individual level, while also not pissing off the GM and owner. Nevin goes to bat for his guys and handles the clubhouse well, at least by what has been reported. 
So yeah, good manager. Keep him around.

Lachemann resigned his position in August. He was brought in by Dipoto in 2011 and he is 81 years old. Whatever second hand sourcing his son is using his father probably isn't on board with analytics considering how long his career existed without them. So it looks like son is posting old man yells at clouds quotes.
