The dude has learned how to get the K and doesn't walk too many batters. He's getting BABIP'd to death and almost a third of the flyballs he's allowed have left the yard. The same way we shouldn't have put too much faith in Bridwell's "eh" peripherals, we shouldn't bury Heaney for performance that looks like a fluke in the wrong direction. I'm not willing to write him off just yet.

Great job Middleton! 5 out of 5! You definitely have proved me wrong this season so far. Really good fastball location, an improved slider and a great addition of what is a really good changeup. Props!

  3. Pujols getting the day off and Ohtani hitting in his place is no coincidence. It's no secret that Arte is making bank off Ohtani and the Japanese media. How much does he make from the Dominican Republic media? Exactly. It also happens to be Earth day. The one day a year we get to pretend to care about the environment. Earth Day rhymes with Birthday. Who's birthday is today? That's right, Muhammad, the prophet of the Islamic faith. Ohtani is Muhammad reincarnated. The Islamic people are funding Hispanics to help take over the Earth. Wake up sheeple.

Appeared in 8 games for the Angels. In six of them, no runs - four of those, no hits. In the seventh game, gave up 1 run. But the very visible game against Boston, he gave up 6 after coming in cold to relieve Ohtani. One (very) bad outing out of 8. Against a team that was tattooing every other pitcher they faced as well. I'm sorry to see him go.

  17. Sorry but facing 50 pitch inning, a 21 pitch at bat, and a botched defensive play and still not give up a run is is pretty damn impressive.

  19. "But, Mr. Holmes! Pujols hit a mammoth blast last night, to the opposite field no less, and he's not in the cleanup spot today. In fact, he's missing altogether from the lineup! There's someone named Ohtani there in his place. I'm not familiar with the name. Should we not investigate this? It seems highly unusual and strange." "Dr. Watson, you must calm down. You'll get an ulcer if you're not careful. Scioscia must have a plan. After all, he's a brilliant manager destined for the Hall of Fame, and he does not make changes like this without careful thought and deliberation. But we shall go to the stadium and have a look at this Ohtani, to satisfy your curiosity."

  20. Thus far I’ve been impressed with his ability to keep the four seemer out of the middle of the plate or keeps it up in the zone. He’s earned the role. I’ve also been impressed with Johnson’s looking like a professional reliever when he comes in. He’s older and won’t blow folks away, but doesn’t get behind in the count, doesn’t start walking a bunch of folks, gives the team a chance.

  22. Worst fucking idea ever. Who do you think goes to this convention? Reincarnation of James Madison, Thomas Jefferson and crew? Think of the state legislatures, the screaming pundits...the dimwits who come up with sharia law bans and the yahoos running for Congress. And you want to give them the keys to rewrite the entire constitution...no limits? You can’t just give them a directive...rewrite this small part, and adjust this part over here. its the whole thing every right and left wing shit storm idea...suddenly that’s on the table. Worst idea ever

Lou, take note for bump purposes later. I think Heaney is going to be the Angels legit #2 starter by end of the year behind Ohtani. If he's 3rd, it's because GRich put it all together.
