Nice writeup. I wouldn't get too stressed from things - this just isn't an elite organization. Takes out the 2002 WS, they wouldn't even be mentioned as a top tier team. And even that series could easily have gone the other way had Spezio not hit the miracle jack. It's just an average, and occasionally above average team. And that's OK, better than being cellar dwellars every year. But the high expectations folks have, with this same management setup and bloated contracts, just aren't justified.

Signing Pujols, Hamilton and Wilson also cost the Angels #1picks. Houston has built a great system by having a bad team at the MLB level for 10 years. The same can be said for the Pirates. The way you counteract this is by attacking aggressively the Foreign markets. The Angels have failed miserably here. Aybar is the only home grown Latin player in the kadt ten years. That is unacceptable. The scouting must improve. The new GM will have a very difficult job ahead.

This was well thought out and I agree with pretty much everything. Arte needs to hire a solid experienced President of Baseball Operations type and give him full authority to get the ship back on course. It may pain some of the nutswingers but it needs to happen ASAP moving forward. Arte trusted in Sosh way too much and that needs to stop. Let a new person get a hold of the reigns and make sound baseball decisions. What we are doing today isn't working very well.

I really don't think the money is a motivator for Scioscia anymore, he has already banked plenty. The motivator is wins, and the championship race. He would prefer to do it where he has the most influence to do it the way he feels is the best and most likely in his mind to succeed. Mike believes his methodogy works, and so does Arte. They trust one another, and are loyal to each other on a personal level. The question is can they find a GM who fits into their scheme and relationship. Or will Arte have to beak his trust in Scioscia, and start fresh with someone new and to a degree unknown

Weird about the battery drain. I'm constantly on my phone and even stream sports at the office and am good almost all day. Do you not close out all your applications when you're done? I constantly hold in the main button and clear my programs.

One other thing Chuck. If I remember right, you had a smartwatch at summer fanfest. Depending on what that smartwatch was may affect what phone you want. Many Samsung watches are only usuable on Samsung phones. The gear fit I had was one such one. Luckily I bought it used and sold it for what I paid for it. So I'd research your watch, and make sure that it is compatible with whatever you are going to buy. Or look into selling it and getting a compatible one.
