Roger Lodge - a new laughable low

I liked Travis Rogers.  

 

Lodge is a game show host.  His contrived over enthusiasm and fanboy propaganda spin make his unbearable.  

 

His show is more like an infomercial than it is entertaining or informative.

The best was when Roger Lodge got all bent out of shape because Mark Trumbo didn't make the All Star team.  Lodge ranted and raved for at least 20 minutes before he was told or realized Trumbo did make the team.  Maybe he didn't realize it because they didn't put "Mark JUMBO Trumbo" on the actual roster.  

 

Unfortunately, you can't avoid him if you listen to the station at all.  Seems like every other commercial is done by him.  Often, two in a row.

A couple weeks back Victor Rojas was unavailable to call the game on TV, so they called Terry Smith up for a cup of coffee in the TV broadcast booth. I was in the middle of a. 4 hour drive that weekend and had to listen to Roger Lodge call the game for over three hours

Roggin was a pioneer of making things different, competing with Nahan and other on-air readers.

He is a guy who tries to tweak his skillset, but yeah, he's late 50s and just trying to make some scratch for when channel four finally dump all the old people.

Fred's a great guy and not stuck on himself like some of the other people. I do like Ireland, who is about the friendliest guy you'll ever meet.

These guys have to make content that pisses us off, or they are gone. These guys must be doing their jobs.

lodge is a moron, great story about the MVP debate between players from two different leagues.

I listened to one of the games he filled in on the radio...that was one of the most brutal things I've heard...I kept waiting for him to break in to his seven one four tickets...seven one four tickets.

Not only that but the repeated silent dead air that lasts 5-10 seconds for dramatic impact just gets annoying as all hell. I hate sports radio/TV guys that think their opinion is worth more than my morning dump. It isnt.

I don't know what your guys problem is with Lodge, though, I like how over the top goofy an Angel fan he is. Halo Honk LOL. Could I listen to him for an hour every day? Nah. But 15-20 mins on the road a couple times a month I'm fine with.
