The Giants signed lefty reliever Jose Alvarez to a one-year deal worth $1.15 million. He pitched for Gabe Kapler in Philly, has been pretty reliable in recent years. Jordan Humphreys was DFA'd (again) to clear a roster spot and claimed by Padres.
