If he's looking for a minor league deal, sure. His peripherals are bad but he always found ways to pitch deep and win games when he was on the Angels.

I will always remember the Saunders-Greinke dual.  I had that matchup marked on my proverbial calendar a week or two in advance.  When the time came, I shut myself in the room with MLB.tv on, didn't do any homework, didn't allow anyone through that door and was just glued to the computer.  It was a one time thing but what a special night that was. 

 

As for Saunders today, I wouldn't want to ruin the memory of him by signing him to a deal where he'll be stashed in Salt Lake.  Shoemaker, Roth and likely Mulder are all better options than Joe Blanton at this point and it's highly likely the three of them end up in AAA.

That Saunders-Greinke game was one of the best games I've ever been too. I remember Greinke coming into the game with 0.39 ERA. 

 

Anyways, I'd pass on Saunders unless it's a minor league deal.
