Ever been to jail?

Recommended Posts

When I was in high school 2000-2004 I had to go to shortstop. It’s like a scared straight program where you visit a prison and talk to some of the inmates. I got in trouble for antiquing an older classmen in front of a grocery store. As my friends and I were driving away someone yelled out the window that it was Anthrax. A good samaritan saw/heard us and got our license plate number and called the cops.  We were all arrested the next day at school for terrorism!  I was scared sh**less because the cops kept reminding us that terrorism carried a conviction of a life sentence. Since it was not actually anthrax and we all denied that we were the ones that called it anthrax our punishment was reduced to attending a shortstop class and community service.

Oh just to clarify, to antique someone is to throw flour on them

I went to jail when I was 18. I wasn't there very long. They took me to county jail around 7pm and I was released the next day around 10pm. I wasn't really scared when I got arrested. All I wanted was to call my parents to let them know where I was at. I received a misdemeanor, 24 hours of community service, and 6 months of probation.

Nothing crazy really happened while I was in there. Just two crack heads got in a fight in the holding tank and some drunk dude pissed his pants while he was sleeping.

We once sang for a Sunday morning church service at a California youth facility. Our director prepared us for the kinds of distractions we might expect, but none came to fruition. I don't think I've ever felt so nervous.

On my 20th birthday (1990) I got arrested for bumping into an under cover cop in a Tijuana club.  My friends followed me there, paid $20 to get me out and we were back in a club in a half hour.  I have never been in a jail cell here in the great USA but TJ jail cells are definitely nothing to write home about.
