i kinda think thats silly... if a guy is known for success with multiple teams, why not put the logos of them all on the brim... the days of a players being with only one team will pretty much die with jeter's retirement i think.  or hopefully Trouts

ask 90% of baseball fans not in Texas who he played for in his career and you will get the Angels as the answer, another reason why the players choice is silly.. he had personal non baseball related reasons for his choice, if you had to rank the teams he played for in his career you would get the Astros before the Rangers.

I don't get the Maddux one either.  When I think Maddux, the only team I think of him on is the Braves.

I absolutely think of Maddux as a Cub and Brave. He was his most dominant with the Braves, but he won his first Cy Young with the Cubs and more than 100 games.

Rangers paid him to wear their hat by giving him that personal services contract after he retired....   He started that whole load of BS that resulted with MLB finally stepping in after Winfield or someone tried to sell his HOF "hat" to the highest bidder.

Exactly why I like the cap with no logo. Then it doesn't become a marketing thing, The HOF is about recognizing the player, not the team.
