The Tonight Show with Jimmy Faillon

Anybody else thinking that Jimmy Faillon will totally destroy the Tonight Show when Jay Leno retires?

 

He really sucks in my opinion.

His current show airs on the comedy channel on my satellite network. I change the channel when it comes on now and will do the same when the show has a different name. Not that I was really a Leno fan either.

He's not funny. I have no intention of watching. Been watching some Jimmy Kimmel to prepare for the switch in a few weeks.

Leno is absolutely awful.  Fallon can definitely be funny but Kimmel is the best in the biz right now.

Fallon has some awkward interviews, but his skits are the best and I like his personality. Leno is a complete ass. The Tonight Show should still be Conan's because as much as I like Fallon, I think it's too big for him

I think Fallon stunk it up when he first got his late night show, but really found a groove later. Not that I'm up late enough to watch late shows too often.

Fallon's musical stuff is pretty good.

Conan is by far the smartest and the quickest off the cuff. His interviews are usually pretty good and his off-site clips are fall down funny. YouTube his trip to the American Girls Store and his Civil War reinactment trip.

Craig Ferguson is probably the most daring and his monologues are great.

Conan and Kimmel are by far the best out there. Leno is horrible. Letterman is decent, but nothing special. Fallon is okay. Idk how his comedy will transition to the 11:35 slot.

When I watch Fallon I see a guy who's basically been handed jobs without ever really deserving it. His performances even on SNL are mediocre at best. I won't be watching him.

Leo does a good job of catering to a broad audience. Conan isn't funny to me and comes across as someone with ADHD.....he also has a personality schtick that's lame. I've always liked Kimmel since The Man Show, he's cool. i used to dvr Poker After Dark and it would always include the beginning of Fallon. I think he's better than most here think, like Adam said, he's gotten better. He's also like Kimmel where he has good rapport with his guests because of his background, so it's a more chill setting.

Conan always has to steer the interview back toward himself.  If the attention is not on him he starts with the histrionics and crazy shit.  It really annoys me.

I loved poker after dark. Used to watch that show religiously, and not just because of LeAnn. Viffer was that dude

Dude is a degen. He used to hustle pool too. If you're ever interested, Google him and it should pop up a bunch of 2+2 (poker messageboard) posts. I think he ended up being banned years ago, but used to post a bunch. He also did a "Well" which is essentially a thread pros start that is a "ask me any question and I'll aswer" thread where a lot of people mainly ask background and how hey got started like questions.

Ya he said he never really liked poker and just played because he was crazy good. I loved his betting style

my favorite episode is when he busted hellmuth with two pair, and caught a 9 on the river. When he saw hellmuth's reaction when he flipped, he said "9 ball corner pocket!". It was effing great

Fallon sucks. He laughs too much during his interviews rather than making interesting conversation. By far the worst interviewer out of the late night talk show guys. I will say though that some of the games they played after the interviews are funny.
