Not sure how exactly the Blue Jays are paying him.

They picked up 5 million dollars correct?

I don't remember how it was spread out but maybe they just paid a little bit each year and are still paying this year.

Somebody will offer him at least an invite to spring training if not a major league contract. He can still muscle one out of the yard with decent regularity. That has value for some teams I'm sure, especially for the league minimum.

The guys a freakin' joke.

HEY WELLSY: Have some dignity and request a suspension of your pending salary just for being a complete buffoon of a ballplayer.

I'm sure you volunteer to do that when you have a bad day at work...maybe surfing the internet a little bit, stuff like that

Fun Fact: He hit 1 HR after May 15th of last season. On August 13th...against us of course.

I'm fairly certain someone will offer him an ST invite if he wants, but there's little reason to think he's still going to hold any value for a major league team: since he's not a particularly gifted defender in the corners and would certainly be overmatched in center, doesn't hold real value on the bases, and doesn't even have the splits as a RHB to back up being used a lefty masher PH off the bench.

and I'm not sure a guy at that point in his career(who was already talking about retirement after this coming season), is going to be eager to head to the minors and wait for an opportunity.

Interesting question, if we did want him would we have to pay anything for him?  I realize we don't want to give up a roster spot, but what would happen salary wise?

Oh brother.  He didn't hold a gun to anyone's head.

Nobody would do what you are suggesting.

A bad day? Nah.

A bad 3 years? Yeah, I think its time for me to move on and stop being paid...
