Other expenses will increase as well, since those B2B service providers also see their costs go up on the labor side. I bet the proponents of this are against outsourcing too. Way to create more Asian/Indian jobs

Not that that's all bad. I had a fun conversation with a sweet lady in the Phillipines when my DISH went out. She was shocked a redneck hill billy from the South spoke Tagalog. I've had fun killing time talking to tech support.

I always laugh when Americans mock Mexicans (illegals) for mowing lawns or being day laborers.  People in more affluent neighborhoods have no problem at all paying a premium for a dependable worker they trust and can communicate with.

We have friends whose son is in college and speaks fluent English.  He made $17,000 last summer mowing grass, painting, and doing minor repairs.  He figures for the time he worked, this equates to about $60/hour.  The most lucrative part is mowing grass.

It's also the means of creating your product and getting it to the customer. I'm just curious why labor is always the primary focus on business cost.

We've been moving toward a service economy for some time now. Service = people

It's happening in California, as well. I'm all for an increase in minimum wage, but I feel as if it places a significant burden on small businesses, and I happen to own a small business. Making ends meet as a small bus. is hard enough as it is--especially with the exorbitant taxes and regulations...in California at least.

edit: oh and the healthcare shit too.
