Mulder wasn't even that good when he was last healthy.

 

that's not true. the majority of his career, with the A's and cardinals, mulder was an overshadowed but excellent starting pitcher. injuries and age finally caught up with him and he degraded big time and retired. if he's healthy and refreshed, then give him an opportunity, his contract demands are reportedly reasonable and we could use all the bodies with potential we can lay our hands on.

The Mulder I remember was good!!

I'm guessing he is referring to 2006 when Mulder was last healthy yet still highly ineffective.
