Morales rejecting that QO looks really bad now. With Morrison/Hart, looks like going back to Seattle isn't in the works. Not sure who else would/could use him and be willing to lose a draft pick for their troubles

 

Rejected a chance at $14 mill next season and highly doubtful he gets close to that now

Seattle is looking much better now. If they can trade Franklin for a corner outfielder, possibly Kemp, that lineup is going to be pretty decent.

Anyway ... Carter Capps has potential but MAN did he look broken last season for us. 

 

Hoping the M's keep LoMo out of the outfield though since he's basically a butcher out there. Then again we did field an outfield with Raul Ibanez and Mike Morse last season.

The big takeaway I get from this is that the M's likely aren't getting Choo now...leaving the Rangers are probably the favorites. Here's hoping the dreaded mystery team can pull through and get Choo before Texas does

He is a .700-.750 OPS player.  Not scared of him being in the division.

 

He is also injured a lot.  He is basically PBJ without the speed.

The word is that Choo wants an Ellsbury-type contract and it's highly unlikely Daniels will give him that. I'm not sure how Corey Hart and Logan Morrison prevent the Mariners from pursuing Choo.

Agreed.   Logan Morrison and Corey Hart are names but not sure they would give the Mariners 1100 at bats of 123 OPS+ they got from Ibanez and Kmo.  Those two guys were possibly the M's best hitters last year.

Choo would be a HUGE improvement over Endy Chavez, Jason Bay, Morse etc etc.

He is Justin Smoak's twin. Wouldn't be too worried either .... but we didn't truly give up that much to get him so I'm ok with it.

Hart is at $5 million with incentives to boost it to $13 million.  Morrison is at arbitration 1, with MLBtraderumors estimated him to get $1.7 million.  Don't think M's are out of the Choo race yet.

probably would have been inked immediately after the Trumbo trade if not for having the draft pick compensation attached to things. No chance Halos sign him because of that. Would be awful to lose their 1st rd pick a 3rd straight year(15th overall I believe) for a DH only bat.

Kmo, Santana, Cruz.  No one seems to be talking much about signing any of them.  Some team might get a Lohse type deal out of them.
