How about Logan Morrison via trade?

Grant Green or Lucho & Nick Maronde (from Florida) for Logan Morrison. He can play 1B, OF and be our primary DH. I think a change of scenery will do him some good. Good OBP, hits lefties and hits from the left side which the Angels are looking for.

 

I hear Miami really wants to dump this guy. They already signed Garrett Jones to be their 1B and have no spots for him in the OF.

I wouldn't give up what you're proposing but I'd love to have him if we can get him for less than that to be our DH.  Miami will kill any player's confidence plus that new park makes Petco look small.  I think there's the possibility of him turning things around here.

If they get him for cheap, yeah. Adds versatility with being able to play 1B and the OF, gives them a lefty bat with average pop, but more importantly he gives them a hitter who works the count and draws walks.

His trade value isn't super high or anything so they might bite on that.

 

He's an awful defender so DH and some occasional first base would be perfect for him. He has a career 108 wRC+ so he's been an above average hitter and he's still young enough to improve. I like the 11.1 BB% he's had in the majors so far.
