Hamels and Lee

Phils won't eat any salary so that's 30plus mil a year. I don't think the Angels will/should pay that.

I would kill to have Hamels but considering his contract and what the Phils will likely ask for in a trade it's incredibly unlikely that the Angels could get him. Houston is probably the best fit, and maybe Seattle.

I think they want to take the Red Sox avenue.  Teams need pitching.  Lot's of teams.  So if they can trade Hamels or Lee, my guess is they will want to include Howard, especially with Hamels.  They just need one Doggie to say yes.  And the Yanks may just be that Doggie.
