I had a buddy of mine send a "Trumbo for Bradley and Skaggs?" text today. I just responded with an LOL.

Calhoun over Shuck adds conservatively 15 HR. Freese adds 8-10 at 3B over Callaspo. That's 23-25. If everyone hit exactly the same number as last year, then they'd only need to get 9-11 HR from whomever is the primary DH.

My real projections are a lot higher. All 9 positions should get you more than 10 HR. 8 of those should get you 15 or more. 7 of those should get you twenty or more. 5 of those should get you 25. And four (with Trumbo) should get you 30 or more.

 

Freese hit 9 homeruns last year and Callaspo hit 10.

Why is everyone so high on Skaggs?  His numbers were terrible last year . . . was he battling injury or something?

He's a perfect buy-low candidate. He was a top 15 prospect in baseball at the beginning of 2013. He lost some velocity which is concerning but that's why a straight up Skaggs for Trumbo trade isn't enough. He has a higher upside than Richards and having those two battle it out for the 5th spot would be awesome.
