With Arizonas recent need for corner OF...this possible could be the Angels only great option to get the pitching they need...Skaggs and Cahill for Trumbo should be fair..like dipoto said before..30/100 don't grow on trees..

 

If we were trading Trumbo, we should never have let Bourjos go.  That is my problem.

 

I know Calhoun was untouchable in many minds, but maybe it would have been best to trade him for pitching and keep Trumbo and Bourjos.

losing the pick for him would be tough.  I'd takea flier on Hart instead on a 1yr incentive based deal.

He could rotate thru the corner OF slots, 1B, and DH.

The Diamondbacks, in search of a corner outfielder, have their sights on Mark Trumbo, a source tells Bob Nightengale of USA Today.

 

The Diamondbacks and Angels make sense as trade partners, as the Angels want pitching, something Arizona has in spades. The Angels are said to be leaning toward keeping the 27-year-old but would likely deal him for a starting pitcher that they deemed of similar value. The Diamondbacks made a hard run at Carlos Beltran before he signed with the Yankees, and Trumbo is likely just one name the team will be linked to in hopes of filling the position.

the dbacks also have Collmenter who has been a starter in the past.  Would want more than just him for Trumbo.  Big time fly ball guy.  Could fit in well.

It would be pretty risky to assume someone who missed a whole season with knees problems can hold down an outfield spot.
