Owens is a hard throwing lefty with a knockout breaking ball. http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?sid=milb&t=p_pbp&pid=596064

Barnes is a hard throwing righty (hits 96-99 MPH), secondary pitches are decent, struggles with control sometimes. http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?sid=milb&t=p_pbp&pid=598264

Ranaudo is probably their top prospect. Righty, best overall stuff. http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?sid=milb&t=p_pbp&pid=519168

Webster is a southpaw, throws hard, good curve/change. Got knocked around in Boston for his big league debut. Top prospect involved in the Crawford to LAD deal. http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?sid=milb&t=p_pbp&pid=543903

I think you would be lucky to get one of those four to be honest.

I don't know, Scott. Trumbo has more value than some people think.

Here's another thing. Eddie Bane (remember him?) is the assistant to GM in Boston. He drafted Trumbo and absolutely loves his game.

All 4 guys look interesting. How close is Owens to MLB ready?

you stole this from me in the Trumbo thread you sly dog.  ;)

I did no such thing. I thought of this one myself. I must have missed your post in the Trumbo thread. Actually, what Trumbo thread? there's too many.

Great minds think alike.

Angels better move fast...

FOX Sports' Jon Morosi reports that the Red Sox and Brewers are among the teams that have checked in with the Marlins regarding Logan Morrison.

Morrison is as good as gone following the Garrett Jones signing, it's just a matter of where he lands. The Pirates would also make sense as a destination, though it's not clear if they're interested. Morrison has been limited to a total of 178 games over the past two summers due to injuries and is projected by MLBTradeRumors.com to make $1.7 million in his first year of arbitration.

Mine was in the 'Don't trade Trumbo' thread.  They mentioned that the Sox were looking for a corner OFer to play along side Bradley and they felt like a RHed bat was needed.

I've actually liked a bunch of near major league ready guys that Boston has for some time.

I also thought Aybar would be somewhat of a fit for them if they decide not to bring back Drew, trade Middlebrooks and move Bogaerts to 3b.

Webster, Owens, Barnes, Renaudo, Workman

Depends on what they are looking for.  LoMo is the anti-trumbo.  Good PD, limited power

Trumbo would either be a monster in fenway or he would completely fail trying to pull everything over the short porch.
