Yea, it might be a little easier to stomach the last few years if we were building up the minor leagues. Hell for all I know we are, but they are so low in the minors it will take years for it to make a difference.

It's not the fans I worry about.  It's Arte and Dipoto.  They are the ones who keep passing the future for still losing in the present.

It's clear the team is in win-now mode, particularly with jobs on the line at this point, but they also haven't made the current roster good enough to actually WIN NOW. 

 

As much as I don't like a lot of the moves they've made in the process of going into that mode, the only thing worse at this point would be clear win-now and worry about the future later type moves like the Freese trade or whatever not actually leading to anything positive.

 

Go all in if you want, odds are most of us won't like what follows, but whatever. Rebuild if you want. But this team kind of seems stuck in the middle, not entirely sure what they're trying to do. And I don't think that does the present or the future any good.

I might write about this soon (probably should) but I am starting to get the feeling that the Angels are going to do something they've said they won't: go over the tax, trade Aybar or Trumbo, black mail a team to take Hamilton's contract-- somthing has to give.

Ahh. Good idea -- contact Quinlan to see if he has incriminating photos against another manager in baseball. Good call.
