If Dipoto sticks to his MO, he'll be all over Hudson, as he should be.  I'd like the Angels to see what Jim Johnson would cost in a trade if they covered 50% o contract.  I'd also like to see them go after Jon Axford.  But as far as what the Angels will actually do, I dunno, probably nothing, which would infuriate many of us all the more. 

 

With the amount of talent available right now from NT, there's no excuse for a bad bullpen.  None whatsoever.

The Dodgers non-tendered Ronald Belisario. I would've probably preferred him over Jepsen (I'd prefer almost anyone over him). Why was his WHIP (1.47) so high this year? Before this past season, his WHIP was solid.

Maybe Garrett Jones as 5th OF/DH/1B.  He might be preferable to Cowgill.  He's a left handed bat with over 100 career HR's; maybe DH fallback if we trade Trumbo for pitching.  Shuck/Jones as 4/5 OF's. 

 

Kind of reminds me of Russell Branyan who had a couple big swings for us, not many though.

I like Arencibia. Maybe Baylor can work some magic and improve his OBP.

That will allow Ianetta to become available and free up some more $, since that seems like the direction we are going. That will give a little more flexibility to sign a FA SP. I wish we would bring back Ervin Santana..... extreme longshot though given his contract expectations.

Kind of like a slightly worse version of Joe Smith.
