Cant say i get this one.. i mean i know it would have costa little more but the guy was a solid as anything in the back end of the rotation and bullpen options, and now we have another hole to fill

Well, Jerome will get paid somewhere.  

 

Question for the Angels is.  Who the F is the long reliever now?  Because Hanson or Blanton better not be the answer.  And who is the starting pitching depth now?  And the answer better not be Hanson or Blanton.  

 

This team just got a new gaping hole in it.

Assuming Burnett can stay healthy, that pen is pretty decent imo.  DDLR may be up in the air a bit as well.  Is he just a late bloomer who finally found his groove, or was last year a fluke?

How you can tender Hanson a contract and not Jerome is beyond me.

 

In talking to Sarah (Jerome's wife), Jerome wants to latch on somewhere where he can pitch out of the rotation as a starter.

 

Selfishly, I hope he lands up here in Seattle so we can get together.

Chuck, those are words of truth. Jerome exudes professionalism and good character. He will be missed. Same thing applies to Sarah. Just good people all around.
