New Cuban Defectors

I find it interesting that there are a handful of new Cuban defectors that have escaped and are trying to establish residency: http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2013/11/cuban-shortstop-arruebarruena-defects.html . Raicel Iglesias, a RHP was also just reported as a defector.

 

The one that most interests me I think is Erisbel Arruebarruena who is reportedly a defensive "magician" at SS. If he became available it would make moving Aybar more palatable in my mind.

Iglesias wasn't supposed to hit this well though. 

 

I think you can probably expect some regression from him next year considering he had a .356 BABIP. Who knows though, maybe scouts were wrong on him.
