Scratch Hudson off the list

As long as you still aren't bashing my opinion, I couldn't care less what you think.

You continuing to respond when there was no disrespect meant in the first place kinda says you do care ...

I said using ERA while ignoring predictive stats was curious -- if that was bashing your opinion.  Then fine.....  ERA, RBI.. Wins are all useless as predictors.

At no point did I "bash" you not wanting Hudson.  I also never said it was a mistake NOT to get him - you're mistaking my saying I liked him to mean I would have paid him 12 mil apparently.  I wouldn't have given him the deal he ended up signing, his age (which you mentioned) and the injury (which you didn't) were enough for me.  I wouldn't have offered him more than the 9 mil per year average he got in his last deal.

Sometimes I think some stats were created just to give agents bargaining power for their over the hill clients coming off an injury. Then there is Ken Rosenthal advising the Phillies to pick up Sizemore who hasn't played in two years.

Well, considering owners used them to keep from paying guys more in the old days -- it's pretty much come full circle.   I read that Rosenthal article, I didn't get the feeling he was advocating them signing him so much as saying he was available.  Supposedly the Yanks are looking at him for a bench role.

You just love to argue. I get it. It's cool.
