While I personally think Trout was deserving this year, I was more upset about last year.

If those are the guidelines, then whoever voted Chris Davis 7th should permanently lose his vote. I don't agree with the guy that voted Trout 7th, but I'm sure he's using the argument that Trout played in no meaningful games after the first month of the season, but leading the majors in HRs and RBIs on a contending team gets you a 7th place vote???

Only award I worry about is a World Series Championship.  So Boston is the MVP, Cy Young, Silver Sluggers, and whatever other awards you can think of.  All other awards are quickly forgotten, but a World Series Championship you remember.

gotbeer I totally agree, it's just frustrating. Because even when the Angels have the youngest most talented most valuable player in the league, MLB still manages to find a way to overlook this organization. If Trout was on the Yanks they woulda given it to him over Cabrera.

Bottom line is the MVP award is ridiculous and the BBWAA needs to completely rewrite the expectations for voters.
