Angels looking for arms

The Angels want to be under the $189-million luxury-tax threshold, but the surplus of quality arms on the free-agent market could allow them to enhance their rotation at a reasonable cost. 

 

 

Maybe the LA Times can sell other teams on the quality of Blanton also.

I've still yet to hear Jerry or Arte say they are unwilling to go over the tax threshold.

Granted it's a fair speculation, but I don't believe they're as tight on money as we keep hearing. I'm guessing Arte will go over it for the right pieces (Hopefully none of them Cano or McCann).

It may actually be a blessing. If we REALLY want this guy, he goes into next years FA class which (I think but could be wrong) is deeper in pitching.
