Today is the day: MVP voting

Players like McGuire, Bonds, and Sosa put baseball back on the map.

The average fan (who pay the bills) wants to see dominating pitching and offensive. They can care less about saber metrics or what a players WAR stat is.

You guys are not the average fan.

Even some comments by people that voted Trout 1st are puzzling.  What does the 2013 AL MVP award have to do with who you'd pick first in a draft?

This is absurd. Donaldson was worth 15 wins?

"Such was Donaldson’s value, in my mind, that without him Oakland would have been a middle-of-the-road finisher"

Alden Gonzalez collected thoughts from 17 of 30 AL MVP voters.

Some of these guys are more incompetent than Baghdad Bob.

Your opinion has merit but Trout lossed by a landslide two years in a row. You can't blame all the writers.

There's no doubt Trout playing for a non contending team hurt his chances at winning the award. You may be the best player but your value is deminished on a losing team.

You may not agree with this line of thinking but winning is what matters on the field.

It's like you're not even trying, man. Or, you're trying too hard.
