Deming Police Chief Brandon Gigante argued that his officers "follow the law in every aspect." Kennedy said that the officers' warrant allowing them to search Eckert expired hours before his ordeal was over, and the warrant wasn't even valid in the county where the procedures were performed.

The ER doc, although he morally did the right thing refusing to perform the search, may have broke the law by ignoring a court ordered search warrant. It would be interesting to see what law would compel a doctor to perform a procedure against his will.

Yep; WOW...  That's nasty.  Most "reasonable" Officers/Detectives don't want to get near that portion of a suspect.  I've heard of recoveries during strips once a suspect is in jail already (for drug-related offenses), but have never hear of anyone actually getting a warrant for an ass-search...

 

And, HTF?! do they try to charge the guy afterward for THEIR search and use of Medical-staff?!  Yikes.  This guy has a case...
