Showtime Series: Time of Death

I am a Television editor and specialize in finish work that includes conforming, efx work and color timing of video and film based media. I usually don't talk much about my work and sometimes it is because of a confidentiality agreement that prevents me from giving any details regarding story and backstory.

 

Recently I worked with some very talented people over at Magical Elves on the documentary series Time of Death that premiered last night on Showtime. It was not an easy subject matter to address and they hired grief counselors for the staff that had a part in the production and post production of the show.

 

I believe it is one of the best and most difficult series to watch on television this year but it is definitely not for everyone. I, myself, spent plenty of sleepless nights thinking over the story lines and how closely they paralleled events in my lifetime. I am very glad I was able to be a small part of the production's completion.

Looks like it may be kind of a downer.

More than kind of but it is very real and honest in it's presentation. I cannot recommend it for general audiences that are looking for easy to digest programming.

I've DVR'ed it and will watch it as long as I can.  I don't mind sad stories if they are done well.
