The only mega contract that I'd want to see is locking up Trout.  Kinda doubt that's going to happen though.  I think we'll see a number of trades though.  Nothing blockbuster-like, but we'll see guys moved.

Earliest Tanaka can be posted is November 1.  So that's when hot stove will start.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Around November 8th, when we find out the Angels didn't bid is when the stove will explode.

Too bad we can't do the Red Sux thing, and pawn off Ghost Albert Pujols and Hackilton and most of their salaries onto another team, even if we only got a lukewarm pitcher, DH, or 3B back for either.

 

Even without them, and signing Tanaka, the Beard, and Garza, we would still have a lineup of Bourjos, Calhoun, Trout, Trumbo, Kendrick, Conger/Iannetta, FA DH, Aybar, and Green/Jimenez. 

The rotation would be Weaver, Wilson, Tanaka, Garza, and Richards.  

The bullpen would be the Beard, Frieri, DDLR, Burnett, Morin, Kohn, and Williams.

 

The remaining $320 million (less whatever we ate) combined for Ghost Albertross and Hackilton would go to the new FAs, and there would probably still be money left over and no ridiculous contracts (coughGhostAlbertrosscough) remaining beyond 2017 at which point Trout could then be making at least $25 million/season.

For the Angels I agree. Don't see any huge moves. But you never know with this club.
