I'm not voting but if I had to trade one it would be my favorite Angel.

IMO, Kendrick is more of a complete player than Aybar.  

 

Aybar's a sub .700 ops player, which isn't offset by a spectacular defense anymore.  He's more of an average defensive SS now.  

 

This is why if I had a choice, I'd trade Aybar.

Kendrick and Romine is much better than Aybar and Green.

 

However, in a year I would rather have Aybar and Lindsey over Howie and Romine. 

 

At the very worst, Romine will be a great glove with .650 OPS type offense, which isn't that big of a downgrade from what Aybar did last year.

I voted for getting rid of Aybar, but it's more about not having a suitable replacement than wanting him to stay.  Ideally we'd be able to get rid of both Kendrick and Aybar.

Difficult choice I like the replacements of Kendrick better than the replacements for Aybar. Can Green or Lindsey play short?

It's closer than you think. Aybar's D has become very average. Romine has a great glove.

Yes, because he's worked such wonders as the "clubhouse leader".

 

And, for a "clubhouse leader", he's pretty dumb sometimes.

Aybar is now being underrated I think because of one down year after back-to-back 4+ WAR seasons. I think he's more valuable to us than Kendrick IMO. I realize that the downgrade from Kendrick's bat to Green's bat is massive, but Aybar is usually just such a great SS when he has years like he did in 2009, 2011, 2012. 2010 and 2013 were definitely down years from him.

Thus is true. In a perfect situation, keeping Aybar and Howie would be the best thing to do.

Take a look around the league. SS is not pretty. Aybar will have good trade value and I don't think it would be tragic to plug Romine into the 9 spot everyday.
