They work well in lower volume locations (Five Guys, for example). People would go into brain overload at a place like In N Out.

One of the first places I saw one of these was at the airport in Atlanta and it was by the Chick Fil-A. The line to get a drink was longer than the line to order food. I wasn't happy (nor was I gay).

Speaking of no courtesy, unnamed waitress at the Grand Cafe at the Santa Fe Station Hotel Casino tonight was not exactly in line for a world record tip for an almost total lack of service. Came to the table and took our order. Disappeared. Almost ten minutes later appeared with two iced teas. Disappeared for another 15-20 minutes. Came to the table and dropped off the entrees. Disappeared for another 15 minutes, then breezed by the table and topped off our iced teas with Coke out of a pitcher. Disappeared for about 15 minutes. Came back by the table, was told about the error. "I will get you another drink." Not I'm sorry, osculate my gluteus maximus, nothing. Was gone for more than ten minutes before returning with two iced teas. The place was not that busy, so it isn't like she was running non-stop. She seemed to be taking an inordinate number of breaks, because she was nowhere to be seen in the restaurant.

Speaking of tip, one of the most awkward things was a buddy and I were having dinner and a drink at The Rainbow Room in Hollywood. From what I remember the service was normal, food normal, and no complaints. Bill comes, pay, and tip accordingly.

My buddy and I are walking out and the waitress hunts us down towards the exit and says, "I know this sounds weird but it's been a slow night, can you tip more?" I'm dumbfounded. I look around to see if it's as big a scene as I think from her loudish tone and Tom Morrello from Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave is looking at me and I feel like I'm being judged as a cheapass. Normally one would laugh and walk out, but I was put on the spot in front of people. I give her a five and somehow don't utter how she needs it more than I do.

We walk out and my buddy calls me a bitch. He's right.

Tom Morrello's a cool guy. Old school metal fan. He looks like Key from Key and Peele.

The past tense would mean there is a change in your relationship status. Do you need a link to the soccer forum?

What about Redbox users, who do not reserve their film online ahead of time? They can stand there and scroll with their stupid kids for 10-15 minutes. Do they have a moral obligation to cease scrolling to allow those who are either returning a movie or picking up a reserved movie to complete their transaction before choosing whatever terrible Jerry Bruckheimer production their kids want?

I don't reserve because my app on my phone always gives me an error, but loathe this. Especially when there is a line of us standing there. At the bare minimum the movies are always the same except the first two pages if you use it a bit or at least see what's there online.

If no one is in line or walking up then I'll read the synopsis of the Dolph Lundgren and Vinnie Jones movie.

Ah, this is another one of those situations where I have no problem scooting right in. I do the "Excuse me, can I just return this real quick?" or the "Excuse me, can I just grab my movie really quick, I know which one I want." People don't have a problem with it, I've done it several times.

However I haven't gotten a movie from Redbox in a while, seems like the quality of their selection has dropped the last couple times I checked it out.
