Common Courtesy

Recommended Posts

Look, Brandon, do whatever you want just don't be blabbering about the Lakers score, someone might be Tivoing it.

I'm glad I read this before trying to explain to flute why I chose the title. I think I'll pass and let it be a mystery to some.

I'm actually surprised we haven't seen a "I almost had a heart attack!!"

Why don't I remember that post?

Dude... That thread was epic.

I tried to recall the thread "Common Courtesy" only to find it locked away in the Hall of Fame in the old board that requires a log on and the log on page redirects here.

Damn you Chuck!!!!

You're at a restaurant or gas station. You have an empty cup and walk to the soda fountain to fill up and see someone using it, but the drink you want is at the opposite of him. Do you wait or go in for the fill up?

Also, if you do go for the fill, is there a certain amount of space between you and the other person?

THIS is what concerns you?  Seriously?

This is what it sounds like when doves cry is the single greatest post to ever grace this message board. Stickboy dropped it and is a legend for it. It was perfect and in page two or three of that thread. It was so good it even launched a pic that Cory and I came up with, mostly Cory's doing, and had doves with a faint background of Princes face. I would drop it when people were whining. Problem is the last place I had it saved was Photobucket back in the MySpace days when you needed one and don't remember my login.

Outside of Stick, what I remember most about that thread is it was the coming out party of Tom P. who dropped the hammer in that thread.

If we could ever dig that up, Kelvin Escobar as tripod, sex with picnic furniture, and the Google search thread I did that started with "black person......stole my bike" I'd be a happy camper.

Someone asked me during a Saturday lunch rush at a very busy In N Out why we didn't have these. I literally had to explain to the person how we would need ten of these to handle the demand and the time it takes for people to make up their minds on what kind of drink they'd like to create. He then changed his question to, "how come you don't have like ten of them if that's the case?".

Did you say "So you don't have to pay 8 dollars for your double double."

Also, I am with Adam here.  I don't drink soda anyway so there is usually only one Iced Tea dispenser, but even then I wait until the person ahead of me getting soda has finished unless it is a large area.  I wouldn't get near the fountain drinks at a gas station or McDonalds.  Way too disgusting and unclean.

I always give space, esp. during mid-week lunch rush.  I adjust to the side if some dude with his face on a lanyard moves in since I know he's probably only got a 45 minute to eat, drink, dump.

I'm up early today and I've noticed something about common courtesy:  A-hole weekend drivers who take out their muscle cars or motorcycles for a spin at 7 or 8am are complete tools.

The city is asleep.  No, you are not entitled to rev your engines or peel out at stop signs.  Your vehicle makes you cheesy and you don't deserve the attention you desparately seek.

They work well in lower volume locations (Five Guys, for example). People would go into brain overload at a place like In N Out.
