Was Lester cheating last night?

I can't tell if Lester was cheating, but what I can say for sure is that the Cardinals might be the most blatant sign stealers in the history of MLB.

A .330 TEAM batting average with runners in scoring position is proof enough.

I've got no problem with stealing signs.  It's the whole point of having signs in the first place - to keep your opponent from knowing what you are going to do.  If they find a way to figure it out, kudos to them.  To me, it's the same as trying to figure out if a pitcher is tipping or a batter is leaning toward one side of the plate.

Or maybe they're just really good with runners in scoring position? It's hard for us to imagine.

To call them an outlier would be an understatement:   http://espn.go.com/mlb/stats/team/_/stat/batting/seasontype/2/split/39/sort/avg/order/true

Gap between them and 2nd is as big as the gap from 2nd to 25th.

Wow the Angels were way better with RISP than I imagined. I thought they were bottom 10 for sure.

Most shocking is that the Angels were top 10 in RISP hitting. They must have hit .500 with RISP in September.

One of the guys on MLB network was saying that the hitters prefer the pitcher to have pine tar on a night like that so the ball doesn't slip. One of the stupidest things I have ever heard. Saying that the hitters want the pitcher to cheat. He was saying that it is against the rules but it is a minor violation. He compared it to "driving 62 in a 55 mph zone".
