I heard that the reds are going to trade brandon phillips this offeason. So if we do trade howie do you thbink we could go after phillips? I think he would be great for this team. and yes  I know we need pitching.

I said if we trade him because if we were to get rid of howie for pitching we would have a hole at 2nd base and theres no guarantee lindsey or green could put up howies production or close to howies production

Bourjos is not tradeable until he shows that he is healthy in the spring. If he is the Cardinals definitely need a CF after watching John Jay in the post season.

Brandon Phillips, please. The Halos need to acquire players who haven't already had their best years. This will take top notch evaluation by the scouting department. Hopefully they can get it done.

Minus Howie

Plus whatever you get for Howie

And then

Minus whatever you have to give up for Phillips

Plus Phillips

And then there is the 4 years/50 million left on Phillips's contract

Well let's see.  Phillips will be 33 next season and is owed 50 mil.  He posted a 92 OPS+ (96 Career OPS+), and a 1.6 WAR.  Howie Kendrick by comparison will be 30 next year, and is owed 19 mil,  He posted a 118 OPS+ (107 Career OPS+) and was good for 3,.3 WAR..
