For all you AWers needing a haircut

Yeah, you're right. A truly skilled barber is the best way to go. The owner of the shop was as good as they come. Problem was I always seemed to get stuck with the apprentice guy because I go with the first barber available. That is my fault, I am probably one of the most awkward barbershop customer.

Brandon.....American barber shop Ontario east of 15. 7 or 8 chairs but only a couple of the guys do shaves. The lady that owns the place is pretty cool. Her husband is a cop so she has patches from a lot of departments on the walls. My sons patch from Tempe PD is on the wall.

I pay a guy $35 for my cut, a little on the expensive side (for me) but definitely worth it. He owns his own salon and he always hooks me up with a glass of wine or beer from the fridge.  He always has hot girls working for him, so they give me a scalp massage, shampoo and condition, then he cuts. Not too bad.

That's the place. I'd seen it before because my chiropractor is in there, but HD who posts here told me about it a while back and finally gave it a try....I've only been three times which are also my most recent cuts. I felt like I was cheating on the girl I'd been with for so long.

She was $25, I'd pay $30 and sometimes $35. These dudes charge $18 and I was giving them $25 but saw everyone just hand a $20 and they were cool with it. $2 seems cheap to me, but it seems standard and accepted. The two extra $5 guys were shocked.

But yeah, place is cool. I never knew about things like tapering the neck that now are staples.

I have always declined the beer too for some reason.
