He was a ML ump for 21 years and I've never heard of him. Proof he was great at his job. He'll be missed on and off the field.

According to the Associated Press, Bell had quintuple bypass surgery on Feb. 18, 1999. But he returned to work 11 weeks later in San Diego for a game between the Padres and Atlanta Braves.

 

Crazy. He was 34. Bad Ticker. That's tough. Hope his kids take proper precaution - diet, exercise, clean living, etc...
