Spring Training Games This Weekend

Looking forward to meeting everyone this Saturday at FanFest.

 

Anyone else going to other games during the weekend? Excited to see some of the other Cactus League teams and stadiums this time around. My girlfriend and I will be at the Rangers vs. Giants in Scottsdale Friday, Athletics vs. Angels at Phoenix Municipal and of course Padres vs. Angels at Tempe on Sunday. We're debating on staying Monday to see another team/stadium, are there any suggestions what park would be nice to visit?

Salt River Fields at Talking Stick is supposed to be really nice..havent had a chance to check it out yet tho.

I'm just hitting up games at Tempe Diablo this spring, but that covers 3 of them (Thurs, Fri and Sun).

yeah, HoHoKam is close by (Mesa) but old and gross.  I went to Salt River last year - it's brand new and really nice.  Definitely worth a trip.  I'm also a fan of Surprise Stadium (where the Rangers and Royals play), though it's a bit off the beaten path.

I've been to Phoenix municipal (meh), Giants stadium (ASU bros and sorority girl central), Peoria (it's like a high school field), salt river at talking stick (awesome), and of course Tempe

A couple people I'm going with this weekend are Dodgers fans so we might be going to the Dodgers game on Friday night.  Dodgers have a pretty nice stadium as well.

Salt River is awesome.  Traffic around there sucked, though. 

 

Next year, I'm going to the Cubs new park and to Glendale or Goodyear, minimum.  Even if I have to rent a car and drive myself because the cool people want to hang out at the swimming pool.

I am going to be there 10 days so I am going to see the Angels at Oakland (Phoenix Municipal) on Saturday, Arizona at LAD (Camelback) on Monday, Angels at Milwuakee (Maryvale) on Tuesday, Angels at Texas (Surprise) on Thursday and the Angels at the Cubs (Hohokam) on Saturday.
