Michael Wacha and Sonny Gray

So, if we had not signed Pujols after 2011 (Wacha being selected by St.L. with our 1st 2012 pick), and drafted Sonny Gray instead of Cron, we could have had a 2014 rotation of:   Weaver, Wilson, Wacha, Gray, and Richards.    And we still don't know how Pujols will ever fare again.

 

Excuse me, while I get VIOLENTLY sick.

Why put yourself through this useless exercise of what if? There's nothing to be gained, AO. Absolutely nothing.

I wish we would have sucked in 2005 so we could have drafted longoria, kershaw, lincecum,  or sherzer in 2006. 

 

Remember when we drafted Tyler Kehrer at the end of the first round in 2009?

I wish we had drafted Albert Pujols in 1999 instead of Alfredo Amezega. The Cardinals took him with the next pick after ours.

The organization could be rich with young SP right now but it seems we just had to make the worst long term moves instead of putting stock in our farm. If we got Gray alone and didn't trade for Haren or Iannetta everyone knows how good of a position we'd be in.
